What would be YOUR perfect sewing related day out?
Mine:
AM: Catch the first train I can get to Victoria, on a One Day Off-Peak
Travel Card. Meet with Big Sis and some like-minded gals at Victoria.
Head for the Victoria & Albert Museum, to take a sneak look at Tipoo's
Tiger, then brows the costume galleries until lunch time. Lunch at the
V&A restaurant...
Spend the afternoon browsing round Berwick Street, buying fabric...
Afternoon tea at Yumchuck or Libery's tea room...
Head for Waterloo and the Young Vic: Dinner in the bar, then Pete
Postlethwait as King Lear.
Well, I managed the last two on Saturday. We're hoping to get to
Dancing at Lughnasa at the Old Vic some time in April. If I can snabble
Big Sis, we might get the whole lot in!
I also bought a couple of books, totally unrelated to sewing! I
replaced my copy of Machiavelli's The Prince (loaned out many years ago
and never returned), and bought one about Shakespeare, called 1599.
