I just wanted to share a tip that has been working out really well for
me. I've been using a website called Kaboodle
<http://www.kaboodle.com/> to keep track of patterns I may want to try
at some point. It's a free website that allows you to store a set of
bookmarks on a page with pictures and comments. Here's the page I
created for sewing patterns I want to remember:
Here's my page for craft ideas:
<http://www.kaboodle.com/pg?pid=AAAAASK2z-E-C9Dj1KXbMgAAAAAAAb4W>. You
can make each page individually public or private and there are
features to help you organize your pages once your collection starts to
grow. It's great!

FWIW, it's not generally wise to depend on an external web site as a
primary repository for anything. For one thing, the site could go belly
up. For another, they might start charging and then you'd be stuck
paying for the service to get what you get for free while they are
working out all the bugs.

But if you really want to do that, I strongly recommend you keep backups
on everything you put on their site so if (a) or (b) above happen, you
won't be left high and dry.

Most people already do keep this kind of "wishlist" information online
in various sites, like Amazon. The beauty of this concept is that it
allows you to consolidate your lists in one place. If what you're
storing is critical (for me it's not), you could always print out your
lists as well. This site has been around a while, too, and has enough
competition that I'm not worried about it changing it's revenue model.
