A friend rang me this evening, in urgent need of a pattern for a snake
show/hide quoted text
hand puppet that looks like this: >

Free or downloadable would be best. Scanned destructions sent to me
would also be dead good. Puppet needed for birthday on MONDAY! Yikes!

Will any on this page work?

Thanks, Juno. I'll buzz that across to her. Though I know she's not
after a sock puppet at all, there are other ideas that might be
adapted... :)

With a little imagination, this could be used to make the pattern:
http://www.daniellesplace.com/html/puppets.html
There might be some helpful information at
http://www.puppetpatterns.com/hand_puppets.htm but the printable pattern is for a doll puppet, not a snake.
Snakes are easiest to make, though, because they have no appendages. No
arms, legs, feet, hands, ears, antennae. Just eyes. You could make a
nifty king snake or coral snake with a multi-colored striped sock. ;-)
Don't forget a bit of red felt for the tongue with a fork in it.
