What do they say about subscribing to one of the alternate usenet
providers around the world?

As I recall nothing other than suggesting those wishing to have access
to the now denied groups look elsewhere for such services.

that wouldn't affect them at all, & they can't stop
subscribers from doing so.
my internet connection is through Metrocast right now, but
i've never used their news server. i use my dial-up provider's
server. i don't change servers when i take my computer to
another state & connect through a different provider either.
