I can usually thread the Singer 401As, my coverstitch
machine and all my sergers without any difficulty. I keep
beeswax next to every machine, and it's better than a
"threader".
The XL5000 has such a bulky area around the needle it's
difficult to get my fingers in position to thread the
needle. It's nice that the built-in needle threader
*usually* works flawlessly.

I've noticed the same thing with the few Schmetz I have.
Why can't they print an arrow or something to indicate which
end opens?
