Hi

I would like to create a building block for a child using cotton
fabric and foam. I have cut 6 cotton squares (8cm x 8cm) and have a
cube of foam.

How do I stitch the cotton together so that I can get the foam inside?

I would be most grateful for advice.

Sew them together in the shape of a cross, one square at the top
(center) over three side by side, one on the next row (center), last
below that.

Keep your seams on wrong side. Use center square of the three side by
side as your base square, raise either side and the top square, stitch
the two seams that are created by joining these sides together. last
bring up the single square that has another single square next to
it.... seam both sides.

You now have a cube with an open top. Turn right way out, stuff foam
in, close flap at to, and stitch shut by hand.

Done!
