(few) church clothes, so got 4 yards of an inexpensive tweed, pink warp,
black weft, of wool/rayon/poly at $5 a yard. Washed it very

sort of purply print to use as lining.

Made up a fast skirt - stitch two centre back seams, join lining to
skirt, elastic waist, all done. Plus a ruana - 2.5 yds fabric, slash it
up the center to the half way mark. Finally, and what took the longest,
cut off all the selveges and ran a machine stitch all the way round,
then sat there Sat night (while entertaining company) fringing
everything. Skirt hem and all ruana edges.

Came out very successfully, and was much admired at the church coffee
hour on Sunday.
