That's surprising!! Our BB is in Fayetteville which is a college town. (U
of Arkansas) So maybe that has something to do with it? Dunno. But the
geek counter is always busy there and so is the rest of the BB.

We don't have a Best Buy close - the closest one closed down. However,
driving along Magazine Street the other day, I notice a new store called
"The Geek Shop" or something similar. I had intended to stop in there
and ask about my laptop, because it is more than four years old, and I
think it needs the Registry cleaned out, but I was being lazy and
willing to pay someone else (who knows what he or she is doing) to do it
for me.
This desktop on which I am presently working is only two years old. It
has 86.3 GB, of which only 73.5 are in use, so I figure it should have
enough room available.

:) I think you should be fine too. I am not the hardware geek DH is. ;)
Because he travels a fair amount with work, I am great at figuring out who
to ask questions.
I hope you can get this all worked out and set up soon. I know you will
have a blast with it!!

My son & DIL live in upstate New York. We "talk / see" each other every
Sunday at 1pm my time. We have Logitech web-cams around $100 and use
Skype, which, as you know, is free.
If, after you set up your software and connect to your family, the
picture is "jumpy or jerky" you may need to up-grade your web-cam.
There is a difference between them. My younger son in college received
an inexpensive web-cam and his transmission is not as clear as ours.
Download Skype and get "talking" to your families - it's great!
Janice
PS: We have a 2 week old granddaughter to see as well.
