1/16" seam allowance on the tabs... 1.5mm stitch length.

I'm procrastinating. I think I'll sew up that quilt block I want to
experiment with... 1/4" seam allowances feel like acres to play with!

I was wondering how those tabs were finished. It seems odd
to me that they are not just cut separately and added to the
bottom of the corset. But I suppose the historical model
prevails? ;-)

The vest I made for DGD's Nationals/Aboyne costume has
scallops at the bottom, but they are cut separately, faced
with the lining satin and sewn to the waistline. Second

Some aparantly were, and some were made all in one... This is just tje
all in one version. Bit skiddly, really. Progress is slow - I made
that block!

Dead cute, as ever. :)

I would think all in one would leave some pretty weak points
where the slashes are turned.

Working on the quilt block is a good idea. ;-)

Thanks. We have added silver buttons and silver laces, all
the dancers seem to be "spiffing up" their outfits, within
the parameters of the rules of course.

Well... The original this was based on is bones with reeds of some
sort, and the edges of the linen corset are bound with leather. It
seems to have lasted 400 years fairly well! ;)

It came out exactly as planned, and all the points matched fairly well. :)

Giggle... Like us in the old school uniform days. And the GMNT and his
fellow monsters and their school ties!
