I would appreciate any suggestions.... I am about to launch on a new
cushion
project.

These will be back cushions, not seat cushions, and will be filled with
poly
shred or something similar for soft, "pillowyness".

I already know to taper in at the corners. I am planning to seam3
sides and
all corners, then turn and stuff and top stitch the hole.
Further, I am going to put the shred stuff in a separate muslin cover
so
they will be easy to get off and have dry cleaned.

What do you think??

a zipper on the fourth side will make removal to clean easier. I usually
sew the zipper in one side, then sew the other three. You can turn though
the zipper. No hand sewing.

Right on! Commercial cushion covers have zippers even when
they *can't* be cleaned -- it's so much cheaper to buy a
zipper than to sew the covers closed by hand.

Thanks for the zipper tip........I just thought they would be more
work, but it sounds like they SAVE work in the long haul. Out for
zippers tomorrow!

Pat,

They really do save you work in the long run. :) I tried to email you but
it bounced back to me. Send me an email would you? mamahays *at* cox *dot*
net. I'm in Springdale now and more than willing to help if you need. ;)
Been meaning to email you since we got out here. *sigh* One thing and
another....... 'course you might have been out on the golf course if I'd
emailed you. ;) Getting chilly for early tee times now.

Sharon
