No, not the vest, that's going fine. But I was sorting
through summer outfits I wanted to have ready to pack for
the trip, and took out one of my very favorite T-shirts,
pale blue on which I embroidered five Oregon coast
lighthouses in a vee around the top. Perfect, right?

But no, I discovered I had splashed bleach on the sleeve
hem. That's ok, I can just cut off the long sleeve and
re-hem it with the coverstitch machine, making it
short-sleeved (better anyway for AZ-CO-UT in April and May).

But what's that?!!! A dime-sized white spot on the
front???!! D___N! Now I'm trying to decide if I want to go
to all the trouble of embroidering several more (to balance
out and make it look like a "design feature") lighthouses.

Or porpoises...or whales...or...???

Beverly, off to sew the vest. I'll mull this over a bit.

Beverly, How about rocks and water and drift wood? I know they are all
along the beaches of Puget Sound are they along the Oregon coast? The
rock and drift wood I mean. I know there's water along the coast.

I love the idea of waves, sand and driftwood, I'll have to
see if I have any artwork I could digitize, or alternatively
look for pre-made designs. Or maybe Haystack Rock, which is
on my favorite stretch of beach:

ROTFLOL!!! Lotsa water! ;-)

Beverly, making a run to the fabric store for thread to
repair one of younger DD's Ts. Why *does* the coverstitch
in RTW garments always run???

The first thumbnail in that series of pictures has so many great
