I am on a hunt. I want a cheap, legal and easy to you digitizing
software package. I just cannot believe that good software is hundreds
or thousands of dollars.

I tried Embroidery Magic II. And found it horrible. It doesn't have any
convert from a vector functionality. It does import a picture, but
littlerally only for you to manually trace against. And finally when
you do draw something in it it is very difficult to edit those points.
But then it is pretty cheap at under a hundred dollars.

Any recommendations? Has anyone tried Pre-Design Drawing Program for
Embroiderers? It is only $120. I saw it on http://www.artistitch.com

Sorry to tell you but Pre-design is not digitizing software... It is
a vector based drawing program which is very handy if you digitize,
and not too expensive.

There is really no Cheap digitizing progams that I am aware of.. By
their very nature, they are costly becasue they are developed for a
relatively small market, so they really price the programs high.

That being said, many people swear by Embird as a (somewhat) lower
cost digitizing package.....

A word of caution about Embird.. It is modular, so make sure you
check all the modules you are going to need/want and add up the
prices, so you are clear about how much money you are committing
yourself to before you buy that first module..

There's also an email list for support.
