Dear Emily,
I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day.
Saturday was our anniversary and Bill and I went out to eat. We will go
out with the children for our big celebration on June 7th.Sunday we
drove down to Susquehanna University for Samm's graduation. It was very
nice. The Governor of Pennsylvania gave the commencement speech. It was
an excellent talk. I didn't get any pictures of me with Samm for 2
reasons. My knee started acting up and I was having trouble walking
around and the drive was so long that we left shortly after the
ceremony. We didn't get home until after 10 PM. We were both very tired.
We had spent 9 hours that day driving.
I think I started my knee up because I h ad been up and down the stair
many times the day before. I've been taking Advil in very small doses
and am getting some relief. I can't take much of it, because I get bad
nosebleeds if I do. I hope I can get downstairs today without much
difficulty. At this rate I'll never finish my outfit.
Have a good week and I'll talk to you soon.
With affection,
Juno

Dear Sewing friends. I apologize
Junoe for sending a personal note to the group. I hit send and then
realized I was on the group rather than email. Emily I also apologize to
you for not being more careful.
Now the world knows how I spent my weekend.

OK one more time. I guess this isn't my day. I'm sorry for all these
notes, most of which make little sense to the rest of the world. I think
I should just go back to bed and start the day over.

It's perfectly fine. ;) I hope your knee is doing better, and glad you had
an interesting weekend.

I didn't do any sewing this weekend. I was out in the yard planting things.
Got a dwarf plum tree. It will bloom white flowers in the spring, and has
dark purple leaves the rest of the time. Says it will fruit too. We'll
see if it will all by itself or if it needs another tree. :) Also planted
Rose of Sharon bushes along the side of the deck. Apropos don't you
think? ;) Figure the hummingbirds will like them. Now all I have to do is
find some orange trumpet vine and the deck landscaping will be finished.
(Yes, I do know orange trumpet vine, once planted, is for life. I like it.
After seeing the GORGEOUS one at the Biltmore Estate, I've always wanted
one. I have pruners. It will be just fine.)

Hoping to get in the sewing room this afternoon. Will have Nervous Elk in
there with me. My poor dog is terrified of storms and looks like we are in
for a doozy again this afternoon. :(

Sharon
(who actually likes hearing about what's going on with everyone outside the
sewing room too.)

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of time and just annoys the
pig.

I think almost everyone has done that at some point, not to
worry! Hope your knee is feeling better.
