Does anyone know why my New Toyota overlocker drops a stich every few cm?
In normal and rolled hem overlocking, it really ruins the rolled hem as it
makes a bump with the dropped stich and a loose loop. I've tried playing
with tensions and needles (I hope its a simple thing like needles!) I had
no help from the people I bought it from and want to avoid sending it away
for repairs if I can somehow fix it at home - any and all tips most
welcome!

Could be any number of things.
Things you can do. Insert new needles the correct way. Check, double check,
then have someone check your checks as to the threading of the machine.
Check your knives. If they are dull it can cause skipped stitches. Take a
single strand of thread and put it between the knives as far back as it can
go. Turn the machine over by hand and observe the thread. If it pushes
towards you the knives are becoming dull. It should cut it off clean with no
movement
