I belong to their mailing list, and just downloaded my mail. Today
(Friday) only, they have quite a bit of stuff on sale for 50% off, both
in their stores and on their website at www.hancockfabrics.com .

I shop there almost exclusively, and I have never seen them discount
their scissors before. Of course, I don't know much about the quality of
the "Mundial" brand, but somebody here will, I'll just bet!

Thanks for letting us know about the sale. Hancock's is only 2 miles away
from my house and I am on their mail list, too. "Mundail" has some good
scissors and I have a pair. I was in Hancock's yesterday looking at
patterns. The Simplicity were $1.99, but I will wait for the 99c sale.

I just found this page too:
http://www.hancockfabrics.com/subscribemain.jsp?action=1

If you sign up for the mailing list, they will email you a coupon for
free shipping, immediately. The coupon will expire in 15 days, so I
would not sign up until I was ready to purchase from their site.

Combined with the 50% off stuff, it makes shopping online worthwhile.
Especially for me, because the football stuff is only stocked locally.
Since I live in Chicagoland, we only get Bears stuff, not Tampa Bay or
Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Gosh - how did people live before the internet? :)

Mundials aren't bad... but I really, really prefer Kai. They just seem to
work right in my hand, and they're very sharp.
