I put the green velveteen vest I was making for DGD aside
right before our trip so I could complete a few things for
me. I finished and delivered it to her, and tomorrow is the
Portland Highland Games. DGD is going to wear the red
Highland vest and kilt I made for her *to* the games and
change later into her competition outfits (including the
green vest and skirt). I'll try to get some pictures of her
in both to put on my site.

New pictures up here:

Click the forward arrow to see Blair dancing, and in the
green Nationals vest and skirt I made. (She changed into the
borrowed blue kilt for completion because tartans with lots
of white 'show' better.)

Thanks. She has now taken to talking about protecting her
feet in order not to end her "career". She is really quite
serious about Highland dancing, and her teacher seems fairly
certain she could advance to the next level soon. We are
all going to Seattle for another competition (not
"completion" :-( ) Friday and Saturday.

Yes, that would be the downside to having a competitor in the family.
I've a good friend with a competitive dog. Goes to shows. Comes home
with ribbons, but only after a long hot day in the sun. Not comparing
your DGD with a dog, you understand, it's the issue of "family support."
And you won't be putting your DGD at stud.
