Yesss! The Husqvarna 2000 is mine! OK, it's mine for 152.23 EUR + 6.50
p.+p., I hope that's not too overpriced, but it looked so good that I
entered 200.00 as a maximum, I just had to have it. Silly me, go and slap my
wrist. ;-)

That's excellent! You bid your max (very late in the auction, I hope,
like maybe 20 seconds to go?) and got it for considerably less, making
you feel pretty darned good about it. Not silly at all. You are happy,
the seller is happy, and that's the definition of a good deal.

Yes, I waited till the last 10 seconds, actually. There must have been
somebody else with the same tactics and if it hadn't been for my max he or
she would have got it, because when I had entered the bid, the price was at
about 120.00. But I have to admit that I don't like buying on ebay, or
rather bidding there, because I nearly get a heart attack every time I do
this. OK, if you get what you want, the feeling is great, but if not, you
feel so disappointed. And I was feeling downright nauseous for almost half
an hour afterwards. I'm clearly not built for life in the fast lane. ;-)

Some people like that, it can be fun. The essential part is to decide
the absolute high bid you're willing to make, then put it in very late
as you did -- you will beat a "nibbler" who only bids one increment at a
time, and you'll never fall victim to a seller who uses shills.
Sometimes you can get a really good deal, too, as you did. The other
thing to watch for is "Buy it Now" listings with a very low price -
usually because a seller has no idea of the value. Or just wants to
unload something. I got the neatest small kitchen appliance that way -
it lists for $50 - for $0.99 plus shipping. Not too bad. ;-)

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of time and just annoys the
pig.
