Hope it works out for you. I've noticed that I have never adopted some
software solutions for things because I decided that it was easier and
faster to do it the old fashioned way.

So far, so good. I have to take *23 actual measurements* on
DGD and feed them into the program, this preliminary work
was just with guesstimates. If I can make this work, it
would be fabulous, because the best patterns ("Heather") for
Highland dance costumes are no longer available.

Beverly, also know to have given up on some software...

Beverly,

It does sound unintuitive, but I had no doubt you'd master the
*^%$@*(*&^#@^* thing! WTG.

I love software I can just load and go. ;-) The learning
curve on this one is pretty steep, but I'm willing to try.

Thanks, Kate. I did discover that the movie tutorials were
a separate download, I now have them properly installed and
I'm working through the pattern editing help. I'm wondering
how much more room there is in my brain to learn new stuff.
:-

I usually leave my e-mail client open, I'll shut it down to
see if that helps. I also discovered that if I saved after
every few steps I could avoid (so far) any more crashes or
lock-ups. ;-} I'm running my 7-year-old Pentium4 computer
with 512MGs of RAM, no wonder I have problems. Maybe I
should install this program on my new laptop, which has more
memory?
