... to another book about clothing: 'Dressing a Galaxy' by Trish Biggar.
It's about the costumes in the new Star Wars movies. I have to admit that,
although I was totally hooked on the old ones as a teenager, I cannot but
despise the new ones as far as the plot and the acting goes. Mind you, the
old ones weren't Shakespeare either, but hey, I was a teenager and it's part
of my youth, like those silly carrot trousers and the even sillier shoulder
pads that made you look like a linebacker. Anyway, waht made me watch the
first part of the new ones was a glimpse on Queen Amidala's dresses. I
bravely made it through part I, tried a bit of part II and totally said
'thanks a lot but no, thanks' to part III. But: Now I got the book for EUR
19.99 instead of 49.99 and it would have been worth even that, at least to
me. I just had to share... ;-)

Yes, it is. There, now you got me humming again! ;-) But seriously, I just
discovered that there is a special edition on the market:
http://www.amazon.de/Dressing-Galaxy-Costume-Star-Costumes/dp/081095964X/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books-intl-de&qid=1255987223&sr=8-3 .
Good that I didn't discover that first, it would have plunged me into a deep
conflict. Now that I've got the cheap edition for extra cheap, I can alway
make myself believe that I've got the essentials and that I'm not such a
huge fan. OK, I'm no fan of the movies, but of clothes, YEEESSSSS! Somebody
