Get a hat!

Some ideas just don't leave you in peace, so as I was making hat toiles
for tomorrow's customer anyway, I thought I might play with some for the
kids costumes.

I really need one of these:

I have two. I've had them for a while, and it took me a bit to find them.
I tried a wig shop. They wouldn't sell me any since they used them all the
time. Then I tried a hat store. They don't use them at all so didn't have
any to sell me. Finally got them at a party supply/Halloween costume sort
of place. Huge one close to where we used to live. They were around $2
each which I thought was reasonable. They really are great for holding hats
or other head covering devices while I work on them. I will say that
sometimes you will need to pad them out. Just like not all hips are the
same, not all heads are either. But these heads you can stick t-pins into
and no one will care. ;)

Hope that at least gives you some ideas where to look for them. Good
hunting, Kate!!

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of time and just annoys the
pig.

I'll just get them from Morplan. I need to order some more dot & cross
paper anyway, so I'll get the heads when I order that. Might get a lady
and a man head, or may just get a unisex one. Not sure yet. They are
about £5 each.

I'd love one of those... Maybe I'll hunt one out when I can afford it.
Meanwhile the styrofoam head will have to do.
