I'll let you know when it has cooled enough to try...
You know how it goes: you need to get on with the housework, there are
piles of sewing on the URGENT! heap, and the energy and motivation
levels are well into minus figues, all the joints hurt, and any little
distraction from the pain is good, and you're thirsty... You want a cup
of tea, but CBA to make a proper whole pot of Earl grey. There on the
side is the remains of the last rat pack the GMNT brought home, and in
it is MOD issue instant white tea.
This could be a whole new experience in not-quite-tea beveages.
Actually, MOST of the MOD rat pack stuff is OK. They get Yorkies
packaged with the 'Not for Civilians' tag, and the Biscuits Brown are
excellent - a cross between old fashioned oat cakes and digestives. The
pate ain't bad, and I can tell you from tasting it that the chocolate
pudding [steamed style chocolate pud with chocolate sauce] and the syrup
pud are both rather yummy, even if they do have the solidity of yer
average house brick. The instant coffee is fair as these things go.
I'm hoping that this experience will either inspire me or scare me back
into the sewing room. It will not, I know for sure, compare well with
the Chai Ursula and I shared. But I will think fondly of that while
drinking and sewing Christine's TINY FROCK!
It's pink. And flowery. And cute.
And before I start the actual sewing, I need to de-fluff and oil the
machines after sewing the pale grey panne velvet dress and jacket.
On a positive note, I did order the pattern I couldn't buy from Johnny
Loulou's and two patterns for the bridesmaids from Jaycotts without a
problem.

Gosh, I'd love to help, however, I just returned from a

So I see... Do you get a day off today, with someone else doing the
cooking - like the DGD? ;)

Well I don't actually LIVE over there. ;-) Yesterday, I
breakfasted quickly on coffee and toast at home, then drove
to their house. Jumped into their car for the trip up and
back. We bought take-out sandwiches to have for lunch at
the venue, then stopped at the Olive Garden south of Seattle
for dinner.
Today I will have leftover Manicotti Formaggio,
http://www.olivegarden.com/menus/details/menu_item.asp?menu_item_id=3485&secname=dinner with a fresh salad for dinner. Yum!
