I am not going to give a plug for any particular County or State
Fair.......but I do want to remind you all that there are LOT"S of
great sewing categories to enter in most of them and it's not only fun
but it's fun to show off your stuff and win ribbons, prizes or
money!!!
And, I will say it again.....it's a great opportunity to show kids
that not everything is made in China (or wherever). Please help keep
homecrafts alive by entering your fair. It usually only costs a
couple dollars......but the rewards of displaying your skills are
priceless (hey, that sounds like a credit card commercial).
Keep us posted what you enter....and we can all be rooting for you!
Entries are due SOON....so go online and check your favorite fair
listings.
Good Luck!
Joy

I wish I could find one in my city, Saskatoon. But I haven't ever heard of
anything like that. I will have to open my eyes/ears more now. Sounds like
fun!

You seem to have two separate events. The Saskatoon Fall Fair is about
livestock, but the Saskatoon Exhibition has a "Creative Home Art"
category. It might be worth looking into.

Canada seems to have different traditions in this area. Our county and
state fairs are important to 4-H as well as to adults, and have a really
wide variety of competitions and events, including a carnival midway
with rides and games. Your events appear to be more specific and smaller.

Wow, I can't believe you looked that up~
Both of them aren't really the same as a Fair and are more about selling
than competing. Nobody buys anything anyways, so the super high cost of
getting a table is not worth it IMHO for the kinds of things I make. Maybe
I will have to check with our history museum, I think they do some things.
