I think people outside the family see the resemblances but within the
family we tend to see the differences.

Kate, you're a treasure. I will be sure to pack it on my
next trip to England. ;-)

No, just routine once-every-10,000-miles service. I can't
believe I have 51,400 miles on this car! I used to put
maybe 1000/per year on our "second vehicle", (my truck)
because DH did almost all the driving when we were out
together..

Funny indeed. My younger DD takes *all* her features from
her father's side, while older DD and I look almost exactly
alike in pictures taken of each of us at the same age. No
one mistakes us for sisters anymore, I let my hair go
"naturally frosted", she keeps hers a nice chestnut brown.

A very long time ago, my older step-daughter and I were shopping when
the salesclerk looked at me and declared, "You sure can't deny she's
yours!" DSD and I looked at each other and smiled.

ROTFLOL!!! Interesting to imagine what she would have said
if the true relationship had been explained. "Well, you
must share a common ancestor or something!"

When you think about it, it does make sense. Men, and other people,
tend to be attracted to a certain type, if you will. I wouldn't be
surprised if DGD's mother resembled me. I've seen pictures of her
when the girls were tiny.
