since I've really sewn anything and I used to make all my own clothes.
Recently I got a wild notion to make an apron for my husband's eldest
daughter and also one for my niece (who lives in the UK). Both are
Plus-sized women and have problems finding clothes and other items.
I found a perfect pattern at "Pailey Pincushion" and have made them from
flat bedsheets (for a full-sized bed)

I love aprons, they're much easier to 'wash & wear' than messing up the
clothes I'm wearing, especially when cooking, clearing the table & washing
dishes.

I wear an apron when i cook or wash dishes , or wash the floor !!!
In former years i made aprons from old skirts , now i was lucky and
somebody gave me some `course material` aprons. I have a pattern of
a Bag +apron with handcrafts. In shops here you can buy aprons that
have cloth on one side and Plastic on the other side.
Wearing an apron saves clothes !!!!

I, too, wear aprons all the time. It is automatic. Go into kitchen,
tie on apron, start work. It saves on laundry, saves good clothes, and
when I am finished I just take off my apron and I am dressed again - no
need to notice nasty stain, go upstairs, change clothes etc., etc.
