Yay!! Glad it finally got there. I'm currently waiting on the big brown
truck to bring me a box from fabric.com so I can relate. I was all excited
this morning when the truck pulled down the street. Turns out he was just
delivering the overnight stuff that has to be there by noon. *sigh* He
said he would be back this afternoon though.......still waiting.

I hope the interfacing does what you want it to. Will be keeping my fingers
crossed for you. Let us know how it all turns out.

So what's on May 5th??

The UPS guy on my route knows me very well. ;-} He was
here every-other-day when DD and I were planning the
wedding.

TSWLTH's site said it would be Fed Ex shipping, and I got a
FedEX tracking number, but it came via USPS!!!???
Whatever....

I just tore both ends so I would have the straight grain,
serged the ends, bonded some of the interfacing to a cut-off
piece (4" wide at its widest, sigh) and threw everything in
the washer on cold-cold. I'll report back, after it goes
through the dryer.

I was thinking that was the date for the Regional Highland
Dance Competition here in Portland, but I was wrong, it's on
May 2nd!!!. If DGD makes it I would love to wear that new
jacket. ;-)

Follow-up: The fusible stayed well attached, no bubbles or
other problem as far as I can tell from a smallish sample.
The fabric washed and machine dried very nicely, nary a
wrinkle. About what I expected from 100% poly, but you
never know.

However now that I can feel what the fabric is really like,
I think I may proceed with the jacket without the additional
layer. It's really sturdier than I expected from
"peachskin" and since this will be a spring/summer jacket
I'd like to be able to get by without underlining. I
suppose I can make it up, and then add a full lining later
if I decide it's too flimsy. Hmmm....
