I have given up sewing for the day.
Ever had one of those days where everything you touch while sewing goes
wrong? I am having one......
The shirt I was making the SO is caput. I have made this shirt pattern
numerous times but somehow I have gotten the collar/lapel screwed up. The
collar seems to deadend right at the lapel line and not the 2 inches it
should be. Drats! No fixing it either since in my infinite wisdom cut the
bulk seams before checking the collar. ( as I said I had made this numerous
times before)
Serger decides it only wants to run in picot mode, not the 4 thread I want.
The scrub pants I am making for myself shrunk... Not really, but they are
too snug. ( new pattern)
I cant find the pattern I just bought for DD's new outfit to make her.

I think I'll just go back to bed...........

Yup, some days that's the only answer...

Better luck tomorrow!

Nah, get a tall cool drink and a no-brainer read, put your feet up and
relax. Later
you can go back with a clear head and figure out why *everything* went
wrong.

It happens to all of us.

Oh, I _so_ know how this feels. Those days EVERYTHING I touch goes
flookey not just the sewing :) Putting it aside for another time is the
best thing you can do -- I have been known to take sissors to
uncooperative fabric in an attempt to put it in their place! Needless to
say it doesn't work, but it does make me feel better!! LOL

Me? Never. Uh uh. I've never thrown an almost finished project in the
woodstove because I was so done with it. I've never taken a pair of shears
and murdered a blouse or item that I was sewing because I was sick to
literal death of it. I've never, ever thrown an item in the trash and made
sure it was covered by real garbage that would gunk it up so much that I'd
never want to touch it again.

Nope, not me. Never had a day like that.
