I am making a simple vest from ultrasuede. I happen to have on hand
some fabric that is a perfect color match, but it has some stretch to
it. The ultrasuede has no stretch. Is there any reason why I should
not use the stretchy fabric for a lining?

You might find that over time the stretch fabric sags and bulges round
the edges of the ultrasuede.
