They probably do have to work very hard to support all the
little crickets. Do you happen to know if the crickets are
monogamous, polygamous, or polyandrous?

Totally non-selective. They live to eat, breed, and march west. When
they've stripped an area of all edible material, they start eating each
other.

salamander, which they serve on golden plates. And the
