Just found this group and I know I'll be spending waaaay too much time here.

Actually I'm looking for the envelope for Simplicity pattern 2869 or really
just a good pic/pdf image of the front and back. I still have the pattern
but the envelope was "borrowed" so someone could show the dress and it never
came back. Obviously I can figure out yardage by doing a layout but it would
be much easier to have the info.
Simplicity no longer has it--already contacted the company.
I only found out it was missing because I finally got around to scanning in
all my patterns and organizing them with the idea of putting the info online
for my daughters to go through the next time they say "hey mom can you
make....". They can find out if I already have something and then get their
own material requirements--I refuse to shop for them on top of sewing. :D
Thanks for any help!

Carolyn

Definitely need a description (as well as a rough date?) - 'cos they reuse
their numbers. OK - so they reuse years and years apart. But I have
patterns here that are years and years old! Happy to look for you if I know
what to look for.

I understand all about exploding boxes... mine leak fabrics and ribbons as
well as patterns.
I picked up the pattern early 2001--my daughter's wedding dress choice. It
has a fitted princess seemed bodice that extends to the hipline with a
draping neckline, V back. The skirt is straight, pleated at the sides to
create a drape across the abdomen, a back slit, short train and there is a
drape that attaches at the shoulders.
Hope that makes sense... I think it was easier to make than to describe!
