What about press on snaps? Like the pearly ones on western (cowboy) shirts?
http://www.homesew.com/HooksSnaps.html About half way down the page. They
only show pastel colors, but they do come in black. You assemble these as
you put them on the garment. There's the pearl side, the male snap, the
female snap, and a plain back for the other side. You could just use the
pearl side and the plain back piece. Scroll down the page a little more and
look a the picture of the Gripper Snaps. The pearl snaps assemble the same
way. Those might be easier to get hold of than the eyes. (And less
expensive too! Those eyes are not cheap.)

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of time and just annoys the
pig.

I like that ideas I already use plain snaps on my reversible dresses,
more research and pricing needed I think .Thank you for that Sharon . I
will get going on the test ones soon. As soon as I get the accounts
done.I am now half way through the accounts for the 2nd time.Fingers
crossed the new computer makes it I don't fancy doing them a third time.
