Hi,
I bought a machine for my girl friend of the internet as she wanted one,
thought i'd found a bargin done everything she needed to get started, it
was an ex display model. But it came without a manual, tried to get it
from the company with no luck. Since i've searched high and low on the
internet for a manual to buy with no luck. I hve managed to thread it but
the thread keeps breaking, i think its the tension, so i assume a manual
will instruct me of this. The make is a Viscount 2000, if anyone can help
it would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks John

Have you googled for Silver Viscount? There's a main distributor in the UK.

If it's one of these: >

...then I have one, and the manual. The threading guide on the
front: tension should be set in the middle of the range. Make sure you
have the thread in the take-up lever (that nodding donkey thing!) and
that the bobbin is fitted correctly.
I'll try to get the manual scanned for you (my scanner no longer works
here at home).
