Towelling tends to be a bit hard when sat on for a while. I'd use
something like cotton flannelette or just cotton - patchwork cottons
work well. A couple of layers of 2ox poly batting in the seat and back
would do well, and at that age they don'r need a pillw as such, though a
separate neck support pillow might be good if the seat doesn't recline.
Shpuld be easily washed and tumble dryed, especially if you wash and
tumble the cottons first. And quilty fabrics come in such superb prints!
Wow... It's so long since James was that size (at that age, too! 98th
percentile all the way through, my cherub!). He had a very sturdy
Silver Cross buggy that was well padded, so I never needed to do
anything like this. Bomb-proof almost! Built like a tank, anyway. I
don't think it would have folded up as small as yours. I knew we were
going to use it a LOT as I don't drive, so we bought a good one. Pure
extravigance, but the blessed thing complete with infant sized car seat,
rain cover, sun shade, and foot cozy thingy came to just under £500 in
1994! Thank God for doting grandparents! :D
Good to see you posting again. :) How are the cherubs? Mine is nearly
15 and almost 6 feet tall! (And NOT a skinny build!) Yikes!
