So my steering wheel cover (purchased) is on its last legs, and I tried
replacing the bias binding tape, but going through four layers, one of
which is rubbery curved stuff, won't work. I really like the style of
this one (it has three little sections of black plastic pleasure dots
that make it very comfy on the hands). Went shopping. Nothing great.
Decided to use some of my existing
matches-the-interior-so-well-it-could-be-original-stock upholstery
fabric.
What else can I make for the four-wheeler, while I'm at it?
Previously I made a folded-over pocket for cassettes, and stitched it
to the behind-the-knees area of a commercial seat cover. Already have a
grocery bag holder (cotton license plate print), a seat back tie-on
deal with pockets (two minivans ago), and the jumper cables came in
their own special bag. I have a commercial visor organizer. Don't want
to cover any tissue boxes.
I have lots of this fabric, purchased when I was doing car camping
trips. But the nylon corded & hooked curtains I made two cars back work
just fine. (Helps to stay with the same style of vehicle.)
Ideas welcome! TIA
