I used "trouser no-sew hook and bar", but only came up with
two uk sites. Thanks!

That link now returns (in addition to some online sellers)
several archived links to my original query in giggle-grops
and "sewgirls.com".

I really don't like the "sewgirls.com" site (you have to
register to "...reply and use other advanced thread
options". No Thanks!) Wish there were a way to delete my
newsgroup postings from there.

What I resent is that they are stealing my (and your, and everyone
else's) posts, freely sent out over the Usenet, to promote THEIR private
sales and advertisers. At the same time, they appear to be very
selective about which posts they steal, leaving out all the spam and the
trolls which we have to put up with.

Google-groups also archives Usenet messages which I don't
mind so much, I just find the sewgirls.com site a mostly
ad-filled, ugly site. And folks using that site to post
messages apparently must allow the site URL to be appended
to their messages. Even bad-as-they-are-google does not
make that mistake.
