This is off topic, just so you know. And my second try at it too! My 2yo
pushed a button and posted my message before I finished (at least I think it
posted, not sure yet)
I had a fine day planned for sewing and going for coffee with my
grandparents. Oldest DD had the day off so she could entertain the 2yo and
I have my bias skirt and a customers little girl dress to alter. Yesterday
I bought my first invisible zipper foot with big plans!
This morning I wake up to a flat tire, so I have to get it taken to the shop
and get the back two replaced for winter, earlier than I planned, but oh
well.
My 2yo got my glasses somehow, they were in my jacket pocket in the closet
(I use them for driving). She ripped the arm right off. I was so upset
because we don't have coverage for glasses, and I don't think they can be
fixed. (black plastic frames, part of the metal is still stuck inside) To
make matters worse I would have to get a new eye exam because my last one is
over two years ago and the lady working at the optomitrists office said two
years until they expire.
We don't have coverage because my husbands company has only two employees
and it would cost us too much, and apparently my boss is dragging his feet
on getting coverage for the last 2 or 3 years. AGGGGHHHHHH
All this right before christmas. What a bad start to my day.
I just can't get out the frustration I am feeling.
To put it back on topic, in the same closet that my jacket was in, there are
the panels for the bias cut skirt hanging patiently waiting to become a
gorgeous skirt!
Thanks

Michelle, I have noted that flat tires always come at a bad time; innate
sense of
ability to make a bad situation worse. Think how gorgeous the bias skirt
will
be when you can get back to it!

We are supposed to be freezing too, usually by now we are knee deep or
higher in snow. So far barely any snow and no blizzards. The grass is
still green, can you believe it? Hopefully it snows or we will have another
drought.

If the hinge is intact on the frame (part with the lenses) you might be able
to just replace the ear piece. Usually there is a tiny screw right at where
the ear piece folds. Try the shop where you originally got the glassses
since there are so many different models and not everyone has the same
styles. Or try contacting the manufacturer is the shop does have still
carry the frames. Or a helpful shop will look to see what frame would be
compatible. In college for a semester or so I wore gray glasses with one
gold ear piece. Same style just different color when I had a similar mishap
when I couldn't afford to replace them. Started wearing my hair swept to
one side that year.

LOL I can imagine! Did you start a trend?
The hinge is busted, half of it is still embedded in the plastic, so oh
well, but its not like the end of the world, we can afford new ones, but we
weren't planning on it and we hate spending unexpectedly.
Thanks! That image kind of cheered me up!
