The pictures are beautiful. That camera is a keeper. There is something
about pictures in nature that make you glad to be alive and enjoy the
experience again.

Thanks, Juno. I really like the S-10, it's my third digital
camera. My first was a Nikon D3900, I gave that one to my
DGS when I upgraded.
I bought a Nikon D70 Digital SLR:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/nikon_d70.asp prior to this one. I thought it would be great to be able
to use all the expensive lenses DH bought for the Nikon f5
he bought just before he died. I really liked the picture
quality and several features of the D70, it had a very fast
shutter, but it was just too much camera *for me*. Too
complicated, and a bit too heavy. I gave it and all the
lenses to older DH, she uses it all the time.

DS swears by Nikon camera's. He has at least 3 maybe 4. Big ones, little
ones and a couple in-be-tween. He's does free lance photography as his
second job. His first is computer stuff that I don't understand. He
takes great shots. I can't share any of them though because I won't do
it without his permission. He 7 yo daughter is following in daddy's
footsteps. He takes her with him frequently and gets stares from adults
who watch this little girl handle his big *pro* cameras. She has a
great eye for composition.

My DH Nikons exclusivly. He was a professional photographer
for a while. He acquired the first Nikon when friends
traveled to Japan in 1961-2 and we house-sat their home for
them. They asked what they could bring us in return and Don
asked for a Nikon. Later he collected another 20 or so. In
addition to I-don't-know-how-many-lenses.
The last one was the Nikon f5:
http://www.bythom.com/F5.htm He then proceeded to buy five AF Nikkor lenses for it. I
sold this one:
http://imaging.nikon.com/products/imaging/lineup/lens/af/telephoto/af-s_400mmf_28g_vr/index.htm to a another professional photographer I know because I was
pretty darned sure I would never use it, even for the D-70.
Sadly, DH only had the f5 for about a year before he died,
but he LOVED that camera. All the camera bodies and lenses
just sit here, no one want film cameras anymore. :-(
Maybe they'll be "vintage collectables" some day....
