I've got to get this off my chest. I'm so frustrated seeing people
post to blogs, groups, and boards so sad that there is so little in
their bra size. I just noticed a discussion on Beverly Johnson's bra
making blog about not finding size 28F. I love Beverly's work but
even she was not aware of companies that make that size in Ready to
Wear. My 10-second search on the big web retailers brought up tons of
options, like 10 brands and 40+ bras, and that doesn't include those
custom-fit types like Jeunique/Brantly/Cameo. There are posts all
over with scads of people screaming about not finding 32DD. I want to
shake every one of those people and tell them to use their search
engines! Figleaves advertises on every lingerie page in the
universe, and Bravissimo, HerRoom, BareNecessities, Zodee, AmpleBosom,
BraSmyth and their ilk are not far behind. I am also a non-department
store size, and my greatest complaint is that there are so many bras
in my size on the web that I'm forever shopping! I can appreciate
that at the extreme ends of the spectrum choices are more limited than
for 34C, and spending $50+ on a bra takes getting used to. I do make
custom bras for my dear friend who wears a 52H because she can't
afford Ulla. But I'm heartbroken thinking of all those shapely women
wearing ill-fitting bras. They can manage to post to the web; why
can't they find the retailers?????
Hollaback, girls, please!

Uh, I didn't mean to offend anybody. Present company is _entirely_
excepted.

Back when I was a dd, I had no trouble finding bras. Then, the steroids
I have to take for the asthma increased my girth. I looked in all those
places. but the probl;em was that until very recently, anything which
was my size was also a "granny" bra. Engineered with heavy satin, and
lots of "coverage". Also, usually bullet shaped. Either that, or it
was the kind that gave a "monobosom".
No thanks to all of those. I was beginning to look for someone to make
custom ones until I was pointed back to the web, and found that finally
some of these firms have new designers, and their bras are now reasonable.

Back when I was a 38F/G, it was harder to find bras in that size. Five
years is a long time in retail... But now I'm a tiddly 32DD, I can nip
into Marks and Spencers and find a dozen to choose from... They range
from £12 up. I love it! At last I have a bra for every day of the week
and a couple of fancy ones for special outfits! Yay!
I think a lot of the problem is that these women don't know how to
search, and they probably STILL don't know their true bra size!

Yeah, talk about weight fluctuations... My bra band/back size went
down 3 sizes in 3 months and now I'm a 30! I have to put an extender
in the back because my ribcage is narrow. A 32 will poke my upper
arms. I'm so disappointed because I want to do the Unique Patterns
service (mem. boardshorts). I haven't sent in any measurements
because this downward trend is a great thing. Hooray for
acupuncture!
