I have an old leather couch that has discoloration in a 3x3 inch area
to one side. It's in good shape otherwise. It's a black couch and the
said patch looks gray. Is there any paint that works on leather? I
don't want to re-upholster this chair but I want to somehow blend this
patch in with the rest of the couch.

Thanks.

If you have a leather store in your area, like Tandy, they sell leather dye
that probably could be used, esp. since it is black. I used some on the back
of a leather chair that got scuffed when it fell off a truck in a move. It's
hard to match colors but I would think black would be easier. You may have
to prep the area first with some kind of leather cleaner so the dye can
penetrate. They should sell that as well.

Black sharpie marker. Seriously.

Black shoe polish might do the trick

It doesn't cover fading on my shoes. Black permanent marker does.

There used to be a polish called "Scuff-Cote" that was made especially
for re-dying damaged shoes, but I haven't seen it lately.
