There are people who want them, but it's just that they are not
incredibly valuable if they have been used, which most of them were.

Now, I had an acquaintance who lucked out to buy a machine from 100
years ago that had never, EVER been uncrated. That machine was indeed
worth a lot, because it was in pristine condition.
