Hah! That's my cue! Now I can congratulate, too! OK, many happy returns, may
you find all the time you want for sewing, the health to be able to do so,
and the familiy surroundings such as that you can enjoy the free time (= may
your DH be with you much longer).
U. - a bit late but not totally forgetful when repeatedly reminded. ;-)

Happy Birthday, Juno that sounds like a really wonderful way
to celebrate!
Interesting that the bridge was proposed (1872), and all the
permits, and environmental impact studies were completed so
that construction could commence just a year later (1873).
My, how times have changed...

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Never thought I'd get to be this
age or as involved in the world as I am if I reached it.
When you think about the bridge it's an amazing feat. It's over 100
years old and in it's second life. AT no time do you feel that it might
be a hazardous walk. there is no sensation of movement. It's just a
secure felling. The fences are high enough to provide a feeling that you
are safe. It was so great to see people pushing carriages and wheel
chairs. Bike riders and dog walkers a lot of out of town visitors.
Poughkeepsie is not exactly the garden spot of the earth, but it was
such a pleasure to see so many people out enjoying the walk and the day.
People here are amazed that once the work started to convert the bridge
to a walkway it moved along as quickly as it did.

Congratulations! It's wonderful that you are healthy enough
to continue to enjoy life.
