I am doing some fabric work in which I transfer images to fabric, as in
Iron On as opposed to direct printing onto fabric by my computer printer.
What about hand painting/coloring those transferred images? Possible? Or
does the transfered ink just dissolve?
I'd certainly appreciate any help!
Best,
Velvet Elvis

Well, Velvet, I wish someone would reply to this as I am wanting to do
something similar. I'll tell you, if no one replies, I'll go ahead and
do it and write in with the results! S.

Hi Velvet,
I think you will have to try it on a sample, since some printable
fabric transfers are a sort of plastic which absorbs and stablizes the
ink and some are more absorbed into the fabric. it will depend on
what sort of transfer you have. so give it a try and see what
happens. but on a fabric sample of the same type as the finished
project so you will know how it will come out.
