Thanks, Emily!
I was battling fatigue down the stretch. The time required
for all the hand finishing is beyond my experience to
estimate.

Turned or not, it's freaking gorgeous, Beverly!!! The pleats are perfect.
Absolutely perfect. You should be very pleased with yourself. And the
girl just gets prettier every year. She looks thrilled with the whole
thing too.

Thanks, Sharon. The procedure for matching the tartan
stripes is interesting, I took lots of pictures which I will
share later.

Thanks again! ;-) I could not possibly be more proud of
her. I learned yesterday that she qualified for the
Regionals (to be held here in Portland) in May, and if she
places well she will go to the Nationals which are going to
be in Nashville in July. I will be planning a trip to
Tennessee if DGD advances. ;-)

I'm pretty sure the rest of the family is planning on flying
both directions, but I'll give some serious thought to a
side road trip to AR. My high school boyfriend lives
southwest of Little Rock.... ;-)
