You are thinking "borsch"? I first heard of Bosch when I had a Porsche
and it had Bosch sparkplugs.

Three of four years ago on the HGTV Home Show they air yearly they
spotlighted a front loading washer and dryer. Honestly, I can't
remember if it was Bosch or Miele. But what caught my attention on
the washer was a small door on top to add a forgotten piece of
laundry. Sometimes I do forget to add an item of clothing to the wash
and fortunately with my top loader I can. If I were in the market for
a new washer I would be possibly searching out this brand with this
access door.
Not what y'all were asking about, but does anyone have one of those
Cabriole washers made by ???? It doesn't have an agitator and was
wondering how you liked this type of machine. I find new appliances
fascinating, just wish the stores had them in operation so they can be
checked out before being delivered to the home.

The Bosch I have doesn't have a door but I can toss in an item
or two until it is too late in the cycle.
Here is a note I sent to Kay if anyone is interested in my
experience with this machine:
I have the bosch premium platinum washer from Lowe's (dryer too) I
went from
top loader to this and I hate them. Mine does go to 1200 RPM.
Stuff is really dry when it comes out. I am irritated every time I
put soap in.
The machine has printed on it that you use 2/3 cup soap. (its late, I
think that
is the number) I can't run a load with much more than 2 Tbsp. of the HE
stuff. Customer support laughed at me when I called in a panic. They
said
that is a mistake, yeah everyone gets it wrong. When the kid laughed
I knew
I hated this machine. (didn't help I had about 13 dirty loads of
laundry and
each load was taking 4 hrs + because of the foaming) Since I shut the
beepers up and have the soap thing down I complain less. The beepers
were driving me nuts. Between the washer and the dryer beeping at me I
was literally screaming at the things.
If you like Bosch and you like front loaders it might work out better
for you.
I have to say everything does come out clean. I have found an the
extra rinse
assures that all the soap gets out, even with the small amount used.
If you can
google for this discussion around Oct. or Nov. '06 there as a thread going
on the quilt group that might help. I am in So cal and water is in
short supply
so I thought I was doing a good thing. If that wasn't the case I'd go
for the
top loader. Holler if I can help any more. I think Bosch has their
manuals
online. Just after I bought mine Jan (coffee diva) bought a Whirlpool
duet
from Costco and has been really happy with that. There was an article in
consumer reports at that time that I think had a good rundown of all the
run times.
