        Great advice! I'm a newbie also, and all of the online used/remainder
bookshops are loaded with sewing books; I must have picked up about 15
sewing books, and the most expensive was a remainder of Shaffer's
COUTURE SEWING in hardcover for all of seven dollars!

        Check Albris, abebooks, half and so on.
