I made a pieced tablecoth in sunset colors for my mom. The kidlings and
I went shopping and added:
- 8 washcloths in shades of red, orange, gold and yellow (instead of
cloth napkins)
- 8 tumblers in an orange-to-amber fade
- 1 layered rectangular candle
Gram's dishes are in a happy mexican floral pattern so the accessories
should go very well.
I'm currently working on a curtain for the patio door. I'm already
cursing the weight of the thing - it's a medium/light denim but it is
both long and wide and a felled center seam required a lot of rolling
and folding and stuffing out of the way.
I bought some Metrosene top-stitching thread in a brassy color but am
having trouble getting tidy results. The top side looks fine but the
underside has loopy stitches no matter whether I use the same topstitch
thread or the double-strength polyester thread in the bobbin.
