I am needing to replace the hook gear set on the above mentioned machine.
Does anyone have any tips, hints, instructions, etc. on the best way to go
about this. I don't want to remove a lot of parts that don't need to be
removed. I have read other places online that this is easy to do, but I
haven't found any specific information as to how to go about it. Any help
will be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Michelle

Is easy. Just look at it. the hook gear is 1 set screw after removing the
bobbin winder actuating parts. The hook drive gear you must loosed the
timing belt pulley and the long feed gear so you can slide the shaft to the
right.

Ron,
Thank you so much for your explanation. I will let you know how it goes.
Also, thanks for the heads up on the reverse direction of the screw.
Have a great day,
Michelle
