If I remove what is left of my broken zipper pull from the zipper
slider, and attach/loop a split ring into the hole in the slider, what
do I attach to the split ring for a pull? I found pulls on this
website:

http://www.catameinc.com/products/universal_sliders.htm

But if I attach any of those to the split ring, the pull will be 90
degrees sideways.

Or am I missing something?

You might not need a pull tab, the split ring should be sufficient on
its own. The only time I've not been able to use a split ring was for
zippers where the pull tab had a small pin that prevented the slider
from movig down the sipper.

You can easily fix a zipper pull easily with a Zippitz. Zippitz is a
decorative add-on to a zipper which could replace a broken pull tab. To
find out more go to www.zippitz.ca (or just use your zippitz to for a cute
touch)
