Scary! made me think of thunderstorms in Malta when I was a child...
Sounded like the giants upstairs were throwing the piano out the window,
followed by the wardrobe and a crate of old china at times.

My dog's reaction reminded me of Sharon's dog taking
bendryl, you'd have thought some great ogre was pummeling
him.

Poor little guy. He's so teeny, you would have to cut a benadryl in half to
make him "special cheese." Charles takes 2. (every 25 lbs of dog = one
benadryl according to our vet.) Charlie never really used to pay attention
to storms. He didn't like the wind blowing hard enough to make the window
screens whistle. But other than that, storms never bothered him till we
moved here. They are just that more potent here.
I will do my best to try and keep the storms where they belong. lol I'm
working on that "camelot type rain" thing too. I'd like a nice gentle rain
every evening after 8:00. ;) When I get that squared away I'll see what
else I can do...

For the fairly rare storm here, mine is content if he's in
my lap, I haven't actually had to medicate him. I hate to
think what he does if a big storm comes up when I'm away.

Thanks very much, I really appreciate it. ;-)
I haven't been ignoring you, but I took delivery of a new
computer Saturday (first major upgrade since 2000), and I'm
busily setting it up and getting the old one ready to copy
all apps to the new one. It's a little like a major spring
cleaning...do I really NEED this app? Or that file? Or
that bunch of pictures?..... The new harddrive is plenty
big enough to take everything, but sheesh, I tend to let
things accumulate. I'm going to turn the old one into the
embroidery design computer, and take the laptop into the
living room. I'll be connected 24/7. ;-}

I know what you mean. We usually go out through the laundry room into the
garage. There is no trim along the knob side of the door from the laundry
room to the garage. Charlie destroyed it trying to go where he last saw
Mommy go during a storm that came up while I was gone one day. Now, I
check the weather forecast and plan my shopping accordingly. If there's
bad weather and I need to go pick up/drop off a child, the hairy boy gets
to ride along. ("ride in the car" offsets "bad noise from the sky.") If I
really need to be gone, someplace he can't go, and I know there's a chance
of weather, I call Gramma and see if he can go over there so he won't be
alone. ;) DMIL is great about that. And her yard has SQUIRRELS!!!!!!!!
(isn't that pathetic that I am willing to do all that for my dog? lol he
really is one of my children.....)

Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!! New toy!!!! I'm so glad you will be able to dedicate one
machine to embroidery designs. That's great. You do such a beautiful job
with that stuff. Having that computer just for that is definitely a tool
you needed. ;)
From now on with all that wiredness going on at your place, I will expect
email answers from you at the speed of instant messages. ;)
