SINGER PIXIE SEWING MACHINE

It's been ages since I looked at machines in Walmart; but after my
experience with them, I wouldn't buy another one there. Like someone else
posted, an oldie, but goody machine would be my choice.

When I was in SC one summer, I bought a machine and serger from Walmart,
not the least or most expensive they carried, a mid-priced. I tried to sew
on each, but neither worked properly, no matter how I adjusted them.

Since I'd saved the packing & box plus sales receipt, I had no problem
returning them, except for the frustration. I felt sorry for poor DGD. She
didn't get her outfits while I was there, had to wait till I came home to
make them and mail back to her.

I'll find out today what costume she wants for Halloween and get started on
it next week. I don't know about the little one either, maybe a big
pumpkin.

I remember seeing a Gem in Hancock Fabrics a couple years ago. It deserves
another look!!! Thanks for the reminder.

thanks for all of your input.
I tried using the machine and have decided to return it. When you turn
the unit ON...it starts automatically. I like to control when my
stitching starts.
