Wow- weeeee..........ouch....

The cacklin' woke me up this mornig, I had to see what it
was about.

This thread makes me afraid to ANYTHING to this forum.

I guess you only post here when you already know everything.

I guess I won't be posting anything else soon, I haven't gotten
my "knowitall" star yet.

Have a great weekend ladies.

Read the whole thing before you jump to conclusions. We LOVE helping folks
that have questions. We don't even mind at all pointing people who ask
questions like this one (where do I find fabric and someone to make this?)
towards the local help they need.

What we DO NOT LIKE and find VERY RUDE are posts that say "I'm coming to ask
you this, but I don't have time to read the group, so just email me." Very
bad manners to do that sort of thing. And there are enough Moms and
Grandmoms here we automatically jump on bad manners.

It has nothing at all to do with any of us claiming to "know
everything". You might make note of the fact that OP
indicated that s/h/it was far too busy/important to come
back to the newsgroup to read responses, and requested
e-mail replies:

"IF YOU REPLY, please
reply to this email address, or I probably won't see it =/"

I suppose the emoticon was supposed to take the sting out of
its rude request. Making fun of rudeness has a long
tradition in Usenet. Note, "googlegroups" is NOT Usenet.

> Have a great weekend ladies.

Yet another erroneous assumption. Not everyone here is a
lady (or even a woman), there are actually quite a few
gentlemen/men.

I suppose it could have been worse. At least we were given an email
address. We could have been given a demand that we put the information
on a web site and then post the URL.

Between sewergirls and googlegroups, it's a bit of a mess, isn't it?
I'm guessing that it's because so many ISPs are dropping news from their
services, and these somewhat lame solutions are being promoted.

LOL! Was that a typo or deliberate? ;-)

Indeed. At least groups-abuse@google.com is a working
address (not that they do anything). Reports of abuse to
abuse@sewgirls.com and postmaster@sewgirls.com both bounce.
They have been nominated for a listing at RFC-Ignorant.org.

Probably true, but there *are* better alternatives, many are
free or very low cost:
